Once again Metz excels with the mecablitz 48 AF-1 digital. This new versatile Metz flash unit, including USB interface, builds on the mecablitz 58 AF-1 digital in terms of form and function.
Thanks to its USB interface updates can be carried out easily via the internet and due to its high GN of 48 at ISO 100/21° and 105 mm focal length and with its vertically-tilting and horizontally-swivelling head, the 48 AF-1 digital is not only especially powerful, but also can be used for bounce flash to great effect. There is also a reflector card that can be flipped open and an integrated snap-out wide angle lens diffuser giving flash illumination for wide-angle lens focal lengths from 18 mm (35-mm format).
The Metz 48 AF-1 is also fully compatible with sophisticated flash exposure techniques such as fast-shutter synchronization, wireless flash using its slave function with either a Metz 58AF-1 as a master or with the camera manufacturers own flash master. Manual settings can also be used for full creative control of your light output.
