The slightly reddish coloring provides warmer colors to your landscape shots, absorbs the UV rays and avoids excessive bluishness. In portraits, skin tones are kept free of colored reflections from nearby objects. This filter is recommended for landscape photographs, since distant objects may have a light blue cast due to light reflection in the atmosphere. No extension factor.

HMC filters use a 3-layer anti-reflective coating system on each surface of the filter giving your images a sharper contrast and well-balanced colors. Digital Cameras need multi-coated filters. CCD or CMOS sensors are highly susceptible to reflections. Don't risk your valuable photos by using bare-glass filters.
