Can somebody help me?
I have been searching the net for making the Yamakawa DVD Recoder DVR 625 codefree.
For most of the players (of Yamakawa), it was very easy to find the solution. With a key combination on the remote control it can be done or you can have a "secret" menu where you can change the code.
For the DVR 625, only few things can be found, but not to get it RC and Macrovision free.
Can anybody help me with this issue?
According to me it should be possible (in an easy way), because the actual DVD Recorder is used by different brands to make their standalone DVD Recorder.
A mail to "Yamaka support" isn´t answered.
Please halp me, I will be happy to reward you bonus points.
Answers can be in English, German, French or Dutch.

I had a look in numerous forums too, but never I can find how to get it Region Code free.
However it should be possible to do so, without hardware change, because in a lot of reviews there is that the recorder is Region Code Free.
Strange.

A Regioncode-kill-Chip may help ? But I don´t know where you can get one ..

Because it is a brand new recorder, a hardware change is not the option because of the guarantee.

maybe you will have to get the codefree remotecontrol from yamakawa to get into the menu.
also you should download the newest firmware.
