To avoid unencrypted personalised data being transferred via the Internet without protection against "tapping", we encrypt your orders by means of the SSL technology. (TLS 1.0, SHA1+RSA with 128/256 bit encryption (high); RSA with 2048 bit exchange, awarded by: DigiCert) All you need is a SSL-enabled browser (most modern browsers support SSL). Before establishing a SSL connection, the browser first reads our server certificate and then goes to the certification authority to verify that the document and our server address are valid and correctly allocated. This procedure ensures that your data is actually sent to the web site operator, avoiding it to be redirected to third parties. The certificate also contains the encoding key. However, secure SSL connections run considerably slower than unencrypted connections. We therefore decided to limit SSL security to the actual order forms where you enter your sensitive, personal data. If you prefer to encrypt your entire session you can come to our shop using address https://www.computeruniverse.net. (The protocol prefix "https:" accesses pages via SSL.)
