Nach einem missglückten Banküberfall beschließt der Kleinganove Black das Gangsterdasein an den Nagel zu hängen. Doch der Plan ändert sich, als er einen Anruf seines Cousins in Dakar bekommt: In einer Bank liegt - kaum beschützt und leicht zu knacken - ein Sack voller kostbarer Diamanten. Der Einbruch ist ein Kinderspiel für Black, doch plötzlich taucht auch der Waffenschieber DeGrand mit seinem Söldner auf und besteht auf die Beute.
