- Needs regular restarts, Webinterface, Some functions just don´t work.
Also, the webinterface suffers from bad translations and unclear instructions.
Even with the latest drivers, not all problems are solved

- Extrem viele Funktionen machen Userinterface etwas unübersichtlich
IPv6 wurde nicht eingerichtet, demnach kann ich dazu keine Auskünfte geben, ebenso wenig wurde ein (Netzwerk-ILaufwerk per USB angeschlossen. Fazit: Kauf lohnt sich!

- kann ich nicht beurteilen, an sich ja super (zwei Frequenzbänder, 2x USB, starke Sendeleistung)

Die netten Hinweise in den Blogs, noch ein paar weitere DNS-Adressen auszuprobieren, oder doch erst in der anderen Reihenfolge einzuschalten, oder doch 30min zu warten, sind doch aus einer anderen Zeit: Im Jahre 2012 erwarte ich ein Gerät was auch von einem "normalen" Menschen mit etwas Sachverstand installiert werden kann (immerhin habe ich jahrelang den Support für 50 Rechner geleistet). Auch die Software hilft nicht weiter, weil sie eigentlich nicht mehr leistet, wie die Anleitung. UNd noch mehr, als den Proxy auszuschalten, geht nicht....
Hier sollte sich ASUS mal etwas überlegen...

- Sehr guter WLAN-Durchsatz, Sehr gute Reichweite, geringer Stromverbrauch (ca. 5-7W im Betrieb mit WLAN & Gigabit Netzwerk)
Funktioneles Webinterface.
Integration in vorhandene Netzwerke sehr einfach, da der vorhandene DHCP von anderen Routern, Servern verwendet werden kann und die Rechner dann die normalen IP-Adressen wie alle andern Rechner im Netz bekommen (Accesspointmodus). Somit kann z.B. das WLAN einer Fritzbox abgeschaltet werden und der DHCP-Server der Fritzbox trotzdem dei IP-Vergabe regeln, was u.U. für den Internetzugang wichtig ist.Empfehlenswertes Produkt für die Erweiterung eines Netzwerks, wenn bereits ein Router für den Internetzugang im Netz vorhanden ist. Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 20MB/s sind in direkter Nähe (1-2m) des Routers auch ohne MIMO (40Mhz Funkkanal) erreichbar.

Die Leistungen die mit diesem Gerät auf http://www.smallnetbuilder.com gemessen wurden sind teilweise die höchst gemessenen und das merkt man auch.Vor allem der Wan zu Lan Durchsatz prädestiniert diesen Router für gamer.
Die Einrichtung ist im Prinzip sehr einfach,man ist am anfang höchstens ein bisschen verwirrt ob der vielen Einstellungsmöglichkeiten aber sobald man einmal den button für den Einrichtungsassistenten gefunden hat ist z.B. die Interneteinrichtung ein Kinderspiel. Fazit: Das ASUS RT-N56U ist ein hervorragender Funker der keine Wünsche offen lässt,höchstens die fehlende Modemintegration stellt sicher für viele ein Manko dar.

- Fällt mir jetzt nichts ein
Der Router steht im Keller, mein PC im 1. Stock und ich habe eine gute bis sehr gute Signalstärke (Übertragungsrate ca 240-270 Mbit/s).
Der Router ist damit deutlich Leistungsstärker als mein Alter.
Auch mit der Verbindung über Kabel ist das Internet sehr flott.
Wer also einen sehr guten Router möchte und besonderen Wert auf Wlan legt, sollte bei diesem Gerät zu schlagen. Kann ihn wärmstens empfehlen!! Fazit: Nur zu empfehlen. Ein sehr gutes Gerät.

Router sicher ok. Leider wird zusätzlich ein DSL Modem benötigt. Dies war nicht zu erwarten, da dieser Router als einer der Besten und Modernsten angepriesen wurde. Mit nachträglich gekauftem DLink Modem war alles dermaßen langsam, dass ich mit einiger Frustration wieder meinen alten Telekom Speedport W700V in Betrieb nahm und einstweilen auf den Einsatz des Asus RT-N56U verzichte. Fazit: Produkt Nicht zu empfehlen. An Computeruniverse ansonsten nichts auszusetzen. Lieferung schnell und unkompliziert.

- Hatte zuvor einen Rückläufer. Bei diesem ließ sich die Konfiguration nicht über die Reset-Funktion zurücksetzen
