The lens embodies Canon's highest standards of L-series optics, build quality, reliability and operability. A robust construction includes dust and moisture resistant seals to protect against harsh weather conditions.
A fast f/2.8 aperture delivers impressive low light performance and depth-of-field control. The aperture is fixed over the full focal range, allowing photographers to maintain a constant fast shutter speed when zooming.
A ring USM (Ultrasonic Motor) drives extremely rapid auto focus with near-silent operation. Full time mechanical manual focus override is available without having to switch out of AF. The lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 0.28m throughout the zoom range.
The EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM incorporates three aspherical elements to ensure corner-to-corner sharpness and clarity throughout the focal range. Two UD (Ultra Low Dispersion) elements virtually eliminate chromatic aberrations.
Super Spectra lens coatings suppress flare and ghosting - more prone to occur with digital cameras due to reflection off the image sensor. Coatings also help maintain accurate color balance and high contrast.
The lens passes distance information back to the camera's E-TTL II flash system for consistently accurate flash metering.

- sehr gute und solide Verarbeitung auf höchstem Niveau, kompletter Lieferumfang, sehr gute Abbildungsleistung
- teuer, neigt bei 16mm stärker zur Vignettierung, Abbildungsleistung bei 35mm etwas schwächer werdend
Das 16-35 wird mit einem kompletten Lieferumfang angeboten, wie bei der L-Reihe üblich. Das heisst, dass die Streulichtblende und der Objektivbeutel im Preis gleich inbegriffen sind, was man bei einem solchen Preis allerdings wohl auch erwarten darf.
Abbildungstechnisch hält das Objektiv das, was der hohe Preis verspricht. Leicht abgeblendet wird die Leistung noch einmal ordentlich gesteigert. In der oberen Brennweite um die 35mm ist es etwas schwächer. Aber wer das Objektiv kauft, wird dies ... read more

- liegt gut in der Hand, stabiler Eindruck
- Gegenlichtblende wehrt sich erheblich gegen an- und abschrauben
Das erste Paket ging bei der Post "verloren" und ich bekam anstandslos innerhalb von zwei Tagen ein neues Objektiv von computeruniverse.net zugeschickt! Andere hätten da weitaus mehr Trouble gemacht! Auch dafür - HUT AB!!!

Wie fast üblich bei Objektiven der Canon L-Reihe finden sich im Karton neben dem Objektiv und der Dokumentation die passende Sonnenblende und ein Aufbewahrungsbeutel. Dank EF-Bajonett lässt sich das Objektiv an nahezu jeder Canon Spiegelreflex Kamera nutzen, sei es digital oder analog. Also, Objektiv aufsetzen, Kamera aufs Motiv halten, Brennweite einstellen und gut ist.Die Einarbeitungszeit fällt erwartungsgemäß kurz aus. Wer ein wenig Erfahrung beim Fotografieren hat kann, durch die enorme Brennweit ist die Bildkomposition ein wenig anspruchsvoller, schnell Ergebnisse erzielen. Jede Spiegelreflex Kamera von Canon mit EF-Bajonett. Hierbei spielt es keine Rolle, ob es sich um eine analoge oder digitale Kamera handelt. Einzig zu beachten ist der Crop-Faktor bei Kameras die nicht über einen Vollformat Sensor verfügen. Ausstattung war dem Originalanbieter Canon entsprechend gutOriginallieferumfang war vollstens gegeben. Fazit: Super schnelle Lieferung, alles war wie angeboten und erwartet.Sehr gute Internet / Shopseite, tolle Kommunikation, also alles Bestens
