Die Festplatte wurde damals im Bulk geliefert. Also kein Zubehör im Lieferumfang, ich denke, dass dies heute immer noch so ist. Die Installation ist u.U. etwas umständlicher. Da dies eine IDE Festplatte ist, muss sie zunächst gejumpert werden. Wenn also mehrere Laufwerke an einem IDE Kabel hängen muss die Festplatte entsprechend auf Master oder Slave gejumpert werden. Die Kompatibilität hängt davon ab, ob das Mainboard über einen IDE Controller verfügt. So gut wie alle Mainboards sollten noch einen IDE Controller besitzen, daher muss man sich wenig sorgen machen. Eine einfache durchschnitts-Festplatte mit 160GB. 7200U/Min und 8MB Cache, also nichts besonderes. Hatte die Festplatte jahrelang in Betrieb. Jetzt habe ich sie durch eine SATA Festplatte abgelößt. Die Festplatte läuft bis heute ohne Macken, schnell und zuverlässig. Mittlerweile gibt es aber leisere Modelle. Den einzigen Abzug gibt es daher für die Lautstärke. Fazit: Die Festplatte kann nichts besonderes, wer sich für diese Platte entscheidet wird dies wohl wegen der Seagate Qualität tun. Die Festplatte ist durchaus sehr zuverlässig und ich hatte in knapp 3 Jahren keine Probleme.

Alles dabei, was man braucht um eine bestehende HDD zu ersetzen. Daher wurde auch die bulk Version gewählt Kein Problem, wie gewohnt bei Seagate passt alles. Anschlüsse gut beschriftet. Da kann man nicht viel zu sagen, läuft wohl an jedem IDE Controller. Läuft angenehm leise. Wärmeentwicklung war nicht zu hoch, obwohl die Platte in einem alten Gehäuse verbaut worden ist, wo die Lüftung nicht optimal ist. Da kann man nichts zu schreiben. Als Ersatz für eine alte 80 GB Platte von Hitachi, die aber das Zeitliche gesegnet hat. Fazit: Hat meine Erwartungen an eine HDD voll erfüllt. Da es sich um einen älteren Rechner handelt, war die Performance nicht an erster Stelle und wurde daher auch nicht getestet. Die Platte läuft seit ein paar Wochen jeden Tag und macht ohne Probleme ihren Dienst.
