Kingston´s KHX8500D2K2/2G is a kit of two 128M x 64-bit 1GB (1024MB) DDR2-1066 CL5 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) memory modules, based on sixteen 64M x 8-bit DDR2 FBGA components per module. Total kit capacity is 2GB (2048MB). Each module pair has been tested to run at DDR2- 1066MHz at a latency timing of 5-5-5-15 at 2.2V. The SPD is programmed to JEDEC standard latency 800Mhz timing of 5-5-5-15 at 1.8V. Each 240-pin DIMM uses gold contact fingers and requires +1.8V. The electrical and mechanical specifications are as follows:

Außer den beiden Arbeitsspeichern und einem kleinen Informationszettel wird nichts mitgeliefert. Ich habe die Speicherriegel zusätzlich zu meinen Riegeln von GeIL eingebaut. Einfach die Riegel in richtiger Richtung in die Slots stecken und richtig reindrücken, dass die Klammern an den Seiten einrasten. Der Arbeitsspeicher läuft bei mir super zusammen mit 2 GeIL Riegeln auf einem GA-EP45-DS4 von GigaByte. Ich benutze die Riegel in meinem Gaming PC. In Spielen macht sich der zusätzliche Speicher schon sehr bemerkbar. Wenn ich die Riegel ohne den GeIL RAM benutze werden bestimmte Sequenzen schneller geladen, leider bremst mein GeIL RAM diese Riegel im Moment noch aus, ich werde daher wahrscheinlich bald noch einen Satz dieser Riegel kaufen. Fazit: Die HyperX Speicher von Kingston sind richtig toll. In Spielen ist ein spürbarer Schub beim Laden zu bemerken. Ich werde meine 2GB GeIL Speicher wahrscheinlich ebenfalls gegen 2 dieser Riegel tauschen.

Im Lieferumfang befindet sich lediglich der Arbeitsspeicher, was völlig ausreicht. Verpackt sind die Riegel in einer Kunststoffverpackung. Eine Besonderheit an den Riegeln sind die Speicherkühler, welche aber bereits montiert sind. Die Riegel müssen lediglich in die Slots gesteckt werden und im BIOS ggf. die Timings eingestellt werden. Danach können die Riegel benutzt werden. Die Riegel sind mit allen Mainboards mit DDR2 Slot kompatibel und laufen bei mir problemlos auf einem Asus M3A78-EM. Der Arbeitsspeicher macht sich vor Allem in Spielen bemerkbar. Maps oder Spielpassagen laden deutlich schneller. Ansonsten wäre nichts besonderes zur Nutzung zu erwähnen. Fazit: Die Riegel sind wirklich klasse und bewirken einen spürbaren Geschwindigkeitsgewinn beim laden von bestimmten Dingen. Als Besonderheit haben diese Riegel noch Kühlrippen. Der Preis ist ebenfalls akzeptabel, daher kann ich den Arbeitsspeicher auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Am RAM gibt es nicht viel zur Ausstattung zu sagen. Schön handlich verpackt und eine Mini-Anleitung dabei, Produktdatenblatt und eben ein Link ins Internet. Die Installation ist wie bei allen RAM-Riegeln einfach. Alten rausnehmen und die neuen reinstecken. Die Kompatibilität ist einfach gut. Habe keine Probleme gehabt. Einfach gestartet und das Ding rennt nun schon seit einem halben Jahr. Einfach gigantisch. Bei 4 GB RAM muss ein 64 Bit System benutzt werden, dass alles erkannt wird. Dies liegt aber nicht am RAM sondern am Betriebssystem. Fazit: Das Fazit ist relativ kurz: Zum Empfehlen! Einwandfrei, gute Performane und super Preis!
