I added it in my old laptop (Samsung VM 8100XTD) and worked without any problem, even if the laptop specs states 256 MB of max supported RAM: I have currently this 256 MB + the original 128 MB the laptop was shipped with. I changed the oringinal OS though (Win ME) with Kubuntu 7.10, so I do not know if it can work with Win Me as well. I found in internet a power point presentation called "Samsung VM8000 Service Guide" and following its instruction was very easy to install the additional memory. Fazit: fully. With the additional memory I was able to install both freespire 2.0 and kubuntu 7.10 linux distributions.
